What differs from each meditation style is how we practice them, each form’s intentions, purpose, and effects. There are many styles but to narrow down a few lets review some of my top go-to meditation styles; Insight Meditation, Guided Meditation, and Mantra Meditation, all which can be integrated amongst one another.

"Meditation is Self-Healing"

Insight Meditation: The most different and oldest form of meditation. Unlike most meditations, Insight meditation lacks technique and control. It involves observing your sensations, thoughts, actions and emotions as they are, without judging or dwelling on them. You simply observe your inner self without trying to consciously control the natural experience. It’s just you with yourself; Get to know you better!

Guided Meditation: Great for beginnings! This is a meditation led by an instructor in person, or on audio/video who takes you on a visual tranquilized experience. The manner in which the guided meditation is constructed varies in the practice.

  1. The instructor guides your sensations mindfully, with breathing instructions, and with skill so that it would give you a better insight and the benefits of meditation.
  2. A guided meditation experience could integrate light as a method to heal chakras or to act as a great focal point to keep your mind from wandering.
  3. An instructor guides you through a visual euphoria, rather it be on a beach, or whatever magical place you like.

Breath is our life force, and can be utilized with this version to expand your entity outside your flesh and far beyond your physical surroundings; it’s an outer body experience you have to try.

Mantra Meditation: Also named Chanting Meditation, another tool to reduce wandering thoughts which requires repetition of a word or phase. This style of meditation can be used to help you to better concentrate; by repeating a word or phrase you keep yourself from drifting off, and even when your mind does wander, you can use the mantra to refocus.

Words contain both meaning and energy! Words vibrate at different frequencies that affect or connect us; positive words have higher frequencies than negative words.

-Take the time to say or even think of a few words, good and bad, and then pay attention to how you feel.

In addition, mantras can be used as affirmations, rather it's said in Sanskrit or in English, when you believe and repeat positive statements, you can inspire yourself and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. Positive affirmations change the way you think! What you believe will be.

***We feel good or bad vibes from certain words because there are positive energy and negative energy words.

Positive Words

  • Happiness
  • Beautiful
  • Strong
  • Proud
  • Love
  • Hope
  • Joy
  • Relax

Some more simpler mantras could be:

I feel good

I am enough

I am strong

I love life

I am happy

All of my thoughts are positive and empowering.

I believe I can do anything
